    Exhaustion

    I was in hibernation

    Didn’t see the exasperation

    Until it became this manifestation

    Of issues from the past complication

    In a zombie like state

    Half asleep half awake

    It’s hard to infiltrate

    The pain that festered and met its fate.

    Exhaustion…

    Just rose from my cave

    When night turns to day

    Over my sun you put a haze

    Didn’t expect to feel this way

    Now I’m on foreign grounds

    Nothing familiar is around

    I recognize all the sounds

    But not your words and your frowns

    Exhaustion…

    How easy love turns to hate

    How bad turns to great

    You’ll never hear my say

    Your name in a bad way

    Words cut deep

    Leaving bruises that bleed

    Your the wolf playing sheep

    It’s so hard to believe

    Exhaustion…

    I was in hibernation

    But I’m awake now.
